If The World would be Ten Persons Dining is a photographic installation representing the economic distribution of Wealth. Every item on the table is based on statistical research and a representation of the global economic distribution of Goods.


This work received the Lentos Museum Kunstpreis LENTOS Freunde Award in 2018 and was acquired by the Art Collection of the City of Salzburg in 2020.

If The World would be Ten Persons Dining

Eight would have access to safe drinking water.
Two would drink untreated water.

Six would be from Asia and India.
Two would be from Africa.
Two would be from Europe and America.

One would be a smoker.
Three would drink alcohol.

One would starve.
Two would be undernourished.
Two would be overweight.

Eight would have electricity.
Two don‘t have electricity at all.
Three would be younger than 15.

Six would be between the ages of 15 and 65.
One would be older than 65.

Seven would be cell phone users.
Three would be active internet users.

One out of two children would live in poverty.
Five would live on less than two dollars per day.

Two would own 94,5% of all wealth.
